I'd like to keep up with xanga, so I can read about your lives and you can know what's up with mine.. but gotta say, it's a little confusing.. maybe I'm just that behind.
Now that the weather is getting nicer, college is all the more college-y. I was walking through campus the other day and looking around, there were groups of college kids everywhere outside, talking, laughing, on skateboards and bikes, sitting at tables and on the grass, standing by the library.. everyone everywhere. The perfect set up for a photographer hired to snap some shots for an Eastern University brochure. I gotta say though, I do love how beautiful this campus and the area are.
To take advantage of that, last night me and a few girls from my hall headed into Philly and went to a really fun restaurant with tiled walls, super-cushioned chairs, candles, and loud music. The only downfall was finding parking, we ended up walking about 10 or 15 blocks from our "lucky" spot until we finally arrived at 18th and Sansom, where the restaurant was.
And today, another beautiful day, Chris Stauffer and I went with the YACHT club and gave out lunches to some homeless people in the city. I got to see my ol' friend, Andre, and he greeted me with a big hug. Later I watched some of Carly (my roommates) softball game, then I decided to walk to Main Line in Wayne, take some pictures along the way, stop in the book store, and eat some Pie in the Sky pizza outside. Taking walks around here on days like today is one of the best things.
Now I'm off to watch August Rush. Anyone see it? I've wanted to for a while now. Well, there's that. Hope you guys are doing well, I miss you all! =)

Wow, so xanga really stepped it up, huh? And some of you are still around? That's good, I like xanga.
Ummmm... sooo.. college is good. Astronomy class is pretty awesome, I like going to Philly to hang with homeless people full of stories and advice, and I think I'm going to start giving English lessons to the employees at my job who only speak Spanish - as in, my boss asked if I'd be interested in doing it as another part of my job since he knows my major is exactly that. =)

Glad to see xanga isnt completely dead, i kinda miss it! So here's an update bout me and Eastern life...
I really love it here. The process of coming and everything leading up to it, including how I felt, was horrible.. but I think it was a really good choice for me and I'm excited about it. The campus is beautiful (pemberly, anyone?), there's fun people, and lots of things going on.. like late night worship services, coffee houses, sports, movie nights.. etc. Everyone is really big on trips to Wawa. I love my building (Doane) and the people in it. The surrounding area is really nice too. Still have to explore shops and cafes on main line, k.o.p. is 10 minutes away, and phillys close by car or 7 bucks by train. Umm, i'm in the ethels club and that could be the best choice i've ever made.. we sometimes go swing dancing at an actual club in pottstown on the weekends, last saturday there was a live jazz band. Amazing! We went to a 24/7 diner afterwards. Perfect.
Love spanish class of course, but i'd have to cause i'm getting SO much of it! Theres a laidback course all freshman take, my professor is a youth min professer so hes fun. Western Civilization is a huge workload but an interesting class with a professor that acts like Bill Cosby. Studies in Drama is the artsy area with artsy eastern people, and wow.. i found out that when studying Greek drama, you also study a lot of other things in life. My old testament class is cool too, interesting stuff reading and studying the whole O.T.
On Sunday, i start a once a week homeless ministry called Broad Street Ministry in Philly. That'll be really cool.
I'm 19 today. Kinda a boring age, but linds made it sound worthwhile when she told me to make the most of my last teen year. I'll try! Not much of an exciting birthday yet but later I'm gonna hang out with some people, one guy named Soo (sounds like sue), a cool asian with a cool name and cool hair. Ha.
One last thing, if you can remember, please pray that I get a job soon! I've applied to some restaurants in and around k.o.p. I'm runnin really low.. haha. Also and more importantly, for Lauren and Jon in deciding whether or not to take Allie for a bone marrow transplant surgery... and Allie just in general. Thanks guys.
I miss everyone a lot. Anyone and everyone should come visit sometime, k? Love ya all.

It's been a while, ay?

Snowboard season is officially over. I went twice last week and called it a year after Saturday. It was a really good year. I'll miss it for the next 9 months but I'm excited for Spring. It's such a beautiful season.

I'm thinkin that the older I get, the more I'm gonna hate dealing with money.

Lindsay and I are gonna wash our cars on Sunday since it's starting to be a good time for that kinda thing.. and it just needs to be done. So if you wanna join... join.

Italian men can be charming when they wink and smile.

The bass in Derek's car is amazing.

Is Rita's Water Ice just an East coast thing?

I'm not sure if I'll ever fully get used to hearing Gym Class Heroes songs play constantly on all the popular radio stations.

Oh and one last thing... if you haven't heard, our house is now officially up for sale. It's completely random so I don't know if I could answer your questions. I was excited at first but the more I think about it (and the change), the less I want to. Hmm.
